Filing annual accounts: what do you need to know as a BV?
Preparing, adopting and filing: the deadlines and what becomes public.

A BV is required to file annual accounts with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) every year. This makes part of your financial information public.
The deadlines
- Preparing: within 5 months of the end of the financial year, with an extension of up to 5 months
- Adopting: by the general meeting of shareholders
- Filing: within 8 days of adoption, and no later than 12 months after the end of the financial year
What becomes public?
Small BVs only need to file a limited version, often just a balance sheet with notes. Your profit and loss account then stays out of view.
Our packages for BVs include preparing and filing the annual accounts. We monitor the deadlines, so you don't have to think about a thing.
