How much does a BV cost per year?
Short answer
The annual cost of a BV is mainly bookkeeping and year-end work. At Boekhoudvriend, a BV costs from € 150 a month, including VAT returns, annual accounts, corporate income tax and filing with the KvK. On top of that come payroll for your DGA salary, bank charges and one-off incorporation costs at the notary.

A BV comes with more obligations than a sole proprietorship: annual accounts that you file with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK), a corporate income tax return, payroll and often a separate private income tax return for the DGA.
Annual costs
- Bookkeeping, tax returns and annual accounts: with us € 150 (Review) or € 200 (Full service) a month, excl. VAT
- Payroll for the DGA salary: a fixed amount per payslip
- Business bank account: usually a few euros to a few tens of euros a month
- Possibly a holding company: an extra set of accounts
One-off costs
Incorporation at the notary usually costs a few hundred euros, depending on the notary and whether you use standard articles of association. On top of that comes the KvK registration fee of €85.15.
