Profit and loss account
An overview of your revenue and costs over a period. The difference is your profit or loss.
Whereas the balance sheet is a snapshot, the profit and loss account shows what happened during a year: revenue, purchases, staff costs, depreciation and other costs.
With a monthly profit and loss account, you can see in good time whether you are on track.
